Flatten Wood Like a Pro — Without the Headaches!
Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or a seasoned PRO, our router sled has a model that fits your needs. With four different options—STANDARD, PRO, MAX and ACRYLIC — you’ll find the perfect setup for your workspace and Project requirements.
Why You’ll Love It:
- Best-in-class dust collection: Say goodbye to shavings everywhere! The 4" dust collection port (two 4" ports on the MAX model) keeps your workspace clean and your workflow flowing. The ACRYLIC model has a 2.5" port for easy cleanup.
- Fast & Easy Height Adjustment: The STANDARD, PRO, and MAX models feature a ladder-style height adjustment for quick and easy height adjustments, while the ACRYLIC model has 1" adjustment with shims.
- Solid, Sturdy Design: Each model uses rigid, solid steel gantry rails that ensure stability.
- Perfect Fit for Any Router: The sled fits the most common routers and can easily be drilled to fit others. Check out our easy drilling instructions here.
- Compact Storage: When you’re done, this sled comes apart for easy, compact storage—perfect for small shops or larger workshops that need a tool that can handle wider pieces than their planers.
Which Model is Right for You?
- STANDARD: Ideal for the hobbyist or beginner working on slabs up to 4' wide.
- PRO: Built for the more serious woodworker, capable of handling slabs up to 6' wide with incredible rigidity.
- MAX: For the big projects — this model spans up to 10' with the most robust rails for ultimate stability.
- ACRYLIC: For those on a tighter budget, this sleek, lightweight model is durable and great for smaller Projects with slabs up to 4' wide.

How to Choose and Purchase Rails
Ready to customize your setup? Here’s a quick guide to choosing the right table and gantry rails for your sled:
- Purchase the Rails: Click here to view our Amazon affiliate storefront to purchase the rails yourself.
- Table Rails (STANDARD and PRO models): You can use either 12mm or 20mm diameter rails (depending on your preference) with the table mounting flange.
- Gantry Rails:
- ACRYLIC and STANDARD: Use 20mm diameter gantry rails.
- PRO: Use 25mm diameter gantry rails.
- MAX: Use 40mm diameter gantry rails
Gantry rails can’t have the table mounting flange.
To calculate the rail length you need, multiply your desired length in inches by 25.4 to convert to millimeters. For example, a 47.25" rail would be 1200mm (47.25*25.4 = 1200mm).
The router bit doesn’t make it all the way to the edge of the router plate so make sure to oversize your rails by 9” for the STANDARD and ACRYLIC, 10” for the PRO and 12” for the extreme (when using a 2.5” flattening bit).
The "No Rails" version includes one locking bearing (the rest of the bearings are not supplied), two height-adjusting ends, the router plate, and fasteners to attach the bearings. This fits the two different versions of 20mm rails seen in the photos. Other bearings are usually included with rail sets when you purchase from Amazon.
Does not include rails, table, trailer, or other work surface, router, or router bits.
